header complication

I tried installing a header today but ran into a big problem. I fail to get the stock header out without removing the overpipe and the front pipe. Is it possible to do it without removing the overpipe or is it really necessary. Also, I got a bolt stuck on the opposite side of the o2 sensor, so I was wondering if you guys know if subaru would fix that issue. I can't call them right now because they're closed and I'm kind of anxious at the moment.

You could try removing the hanger bolt on the front pipe so you have more movement with the overpipe.

What do you mean you got a bolt stuck on the other side of the O2 sensor?

Just did this today. Had to remove overpipe. I reused the gasket as it looked fine. If its bad, yeah you are going to have to replace it.

Just get some red rtv and apply a thin layer to the gasket and reuse. Should be fine

I had to loosen up the overpipe and unbolt the bracket on the front pipe, but I didn't have to remove them and I re-used the gaskets. BUT you have to use NEW header gaskets.

Having installed a header not too long ago I would suggest re-using the existing gaskets when installing it just to make sure there are no issues with fitment etc. Then once all is good put new gaskets through it and call it a day.
