Seat belt chime turner offer thing

This thing comes in handy when I have something on the passenger seat, to shut off the chime. It was $9 for 2 on eBay.

I must be missing something....

Why not just buckle the seatbelt on the empty seat?

I'll guess easier to get at it from the driver's seat. Also no strap in the way. I like it.

The better solution is to stow shit on the floor. That way it doesn't go flying off the seat onto the floor anyways

True that...

Personally I just disabled the chime in techstream. I take full responsibility for making sure belts are worn when necessary.

Only in North America you get seatbelt chimes and that buzzer for your keys when you open the door.

Then there was this North American exclusive feature.

About a quarter of the cars I have owned didn't even have seat belts.

Your old man experience doesn't matter. We're talking about modern times now.

Yep, I hear that. My uncle, who was a civilian employee at an air base, brought me two seat belts out of a junked airplane, that I installed in my old Chevrolet. After all, with a top speed of 83 mph, one couldn't be too careful. OK, so it was downhill......

One of those was from 1998 to 2002.
