Grinding/vibrating sound going up ramps
I'm lowered around 1.5 inches. Going up ramps diagonally, I hear a grinding/vibrating sound roughly around the time that one of the rear wheels is near the ramp entrance. The traction control light flickers, even with traction control off (5s press, but not pedal dance). I never get this sound going down ramps.
Does this happen to you? Is it just one of the rear wheels losing traction? I'm going to get out my car and inspect once I get a chance to safely do so. |

You have one rear wheel in the air and the noise is the LSD doing it's thing?

5s press TC off is not 100% off. As Subsonic mentioned and as was written also in Pedal Dance related threads, in TC off unlike in PD mode you still get electronic brake distribution & TC re-engages if one of wheels completely looses traction/hops in air, trying to restore traction with applying brakes on one side.
Pedal Dance switches off those two aswell, leaving just basic ABS. |

I have a similar experience going up my driveway (stock height though). Should I be worried about these noises happening? Keep in mind I am doing this at least once a day everyday.

however, how much of an incline is your driveway? you shouldn't be having a wheel lift in the air unless you're going in at an insane angle that causes a wheel to lift. either that, or you're using too much gas when going up causing the wheel to lose traction

Sounds like 3 wheeling to me from reduced droop and the lsd(and traction control) fighting the wheel in the air. Try approaching slightly faster and letting the throttle off after your front tires touch the incline and rolling up the incline until the rear wheel drops before accelerating again.
Or less angle/raise car slightly. |

Is electronic nanny engaging brakes on that short occasion big enough issue to do anything at all? They do their job, wear for such short time won't be noticeable .. just ignore it. I get way more often & longer e-diff/vsc kicking in interference when i intentionally get rear out when daily driving, especially in wet & in winter, and even then i don't care about that as increased wear & worse mpg is what i pay for more fun by choice
