few questions
hey guys, sorry if these are basic questions.
1. is it possible to install the nameless axelback exhaust without using a jack. I saw that you can use a exhaust removal pliers + a 8mm wrench? 2. what are some other good exhausts for a 500 budget? I was reading about the nameless or berk track exhausts. they seem pretty affordable and easy to install, but are they super loud? I want something that can be used for DD. 3. and if you had a choice, would you rather lower the car with TRD springs or get an exhaust? |

Unless you have really long arms you need to raise the car.
And track pipes are loud, what your definition of too loud is idk. Id get springs and an alignment over catback (In fact I did years ago). Though Id get RCE Yellows or Swift springs |

I would go suspension over exhaust as well although I did the complete opposite. As far as "using something to DD", that may be a personal preference as I DD mine fully catless ending with the Invidia N1, I'm probably deaf to it cause I think it's loud but sometimes I don't think it's loud but it's pretty damn loud.

![]() Yep, your looking at a nice axle back for this car. I have the nameless with the 2.5" piping and 5" mufflers and have found that it gives some "bark" to the exhaust note and is just fine for DD-ing. As far as the installation, it's possible to do it without raising up the back of the car, but easier if you run it up on ramps. The easiest way is the "humfrz" method. Yep, slip the muffler in the back of your car, drive up to your local auto/muffler shop, have them install it while you read a car mag and have a cup of coffee. Before you finish your coffee, they will have it installed. Pay them about $35 and drive off. No cussing, because you can't slip off the rubber hangars, no fear of twisting off the flange nuts, no worries about over or under tightening the nuts, no sprained arms and no skinned knuckles. I would suggest you get the muffler over the lowering kit. The car is low enough as it is ....... unless you enjoy the sounds of crunching body parts as you misjudge street dips, curbs, parking stops, driveway dips/rises and scooping dead critters out of your grill...... ![]() humfrz |
