ABS removal

Im looking to see if the car cluster will still get a speed signal if I remove the ABS computer and block. No safety concerns I already have manual brakes and run with the ABS fuse pulled.Just need to know what electronic side affects I might have. If none I want to remove this from the harness completely. My car is tore down for a swap otherwise I would unplug and test it for myself.

It appears to be solenoid valves in the block. Coils to activate the valves as needed in the electronic section of the unit, and a electric motor on the opposite side of the block from the valve assembly. which could be a internal pump I would think. I may try to keep just the electronic section and remove the valve body. I guess I'm a pioneer as I can't find much info on this subject. Lol

We run just the electrical half tucked away and plugged in so we still get wheel speed through the can bus into our motec ecu

Thanks for the information. That was the plan if I can't get the information to remove it all and keep all signals I need.

Did you remove the coils from the electrical side?

We run just the black part in your second picture. Just made a quick plastic cover to seal it off. Without it plugged in we can't get wheel speed on can bus so the speed sensors go through that module without a doubt
