So? They probably have 100s of trademarked names.
113 in North America alone. https://www.onscope.com/ipowner/en/o...riStatus=P%2BR A trademark does not mean a car!

I don't like the font / lowercase "t".
I think the aftermarket should come up with a better version. +10WHP guaranteed if they switch to all caps and use the "Baskerville Old Face" font. |

Shieeet.
I might have to trade in my Monogram after all.... This car would have to be at least 35k though, right? That, plus taxes is getting near 40k. So many solid choices for that kind of cash |

I agree with @Veloist I think it is likely that a full car is on its way. We have had plenty of indication that this would be coming. I look at it like this: this means that parts will now be available in the US and at a greatly reduced price without the need for overseas shipping. Many of these parts can be used to upgrade the older cars. No need to buy new, especially when the full car would likely be around 35-40k.

![]() Parts from Enkei, BBS, Fujitsubo, Bilstein, KYB, Brembo, PFC, Exedy and others are commonly used by STI after close collaboration. The difference is that STI knows the car better and works on specific parts as a whole. Throwing random parts from random vendors in a car means nothing on feeling or performance. |

My point was, and remains that people make a lot of assumptions based on the skimpiest information. No doubt we will soon see full specs on a car based solely upon the fact two letters were trademarked

I could see that with an entirely new model (AKA BRZ STi), but they have had the tS in Japan for years now. I don't think it's that much of a stretch to think that they would bring the model over here, especially after trademarking the same exact name. I bet the parts would still be pretty expensive for people looking to upgrade their older models though. Special edition parts from the RS 1.0 and 2.0 are already crazy expensive even though they were sold here in the States. Last edited by funwheeldrive; 08-25-2016 at 04:45 PM. |

if they ever drop the WRX motor into the BRZ, that is the day I am selling my car and buying the new one (hopefully it never happens).
and if STI is starting to expand to the states, I would really want to buy the STI front strut tower bar and draw stiffeners without paying like $700 for two items... but who knows, maybe they will keep the prices high for exclusivity.
