Is anyone building with Burns SS mufflers?

They have a pretty sweet repackable two stage muffler.

http://www.burnsstainless.com/2-stage.aspx

Would like to do a single exit 3". was wondering if anyone has already done something similar.

We have used Burn's mufflers for quite a few custom exhaust systems on other applications they are very nice. I will warn you that they are quite loud. I have not seen them used on the twins yet, but its possible some one has.

We are working on something now for my car and the question of using burns came into play. Unless you are going for weight savings a vibrant muffler will sound somewhat similar and will do the job. We are currently working on a full 3 Inch Exhaust with custom axle-back options such as a center exit out of the third brake light. I'll be sure to send you a link when we have a video of it.

I used one! Added to a MAP 3" exhaust.

And wondering why Burns stainless is so expensive? Check out the core versus the magnaflow posted above. Smaller holes and a much higher density meaning more sound being absorbed by the packing material and less packing material leaving the muffler. But inevitably a much higher manufacturing cost.

Cool, welcome to check it out. Although, my car will be on jack stands for a bit. Should be a nice added whistle in the exhaust note when she runs again

Yea the two huge benefit of Burns is lightweight and repackable. Not to mention the super high quality. If going turbo I would stick with the single stage but NA or supercharged the 2-stage seems like it would be the way to go. Also, I would stay away from 3" without a turbo. Exhaust note and volume would suffer with minimal power gains (*I think).

So is this where Crawford sourced the megaphones for their Gymkhana exhausts?

http://www.burnsstainless.com/megaphone-muffler.aspx

Seems to me a one in, two out using megaphones for tips with a big resonator would look and likely sound pretty awesome.
