SSP Stage 2 Valvebody Upgrade - Review

Hey all yes its about an auto sorry :P.

Recently had the SSP Valve body upgrade installed on my car.

Have had it in and driving for about 4 days now and first impressions are extremely good!!. I wasn't sure what to expect or how hard the gears would actually be changing for daily but its amazing.

Gears shift a lot quicker and the car just feels smoother. In daily driving all I have had time for right now its been great, does not shift to hard as to make it uncomfortable for a daily car but stiffens up enough and feels great gets through the gears even quicker now it seems.

Car is making about 170rwkw here in Australia its currently getting work done so the tune I am on is temporary till other stuff is in and working so I cant really get it on to test it at higher rpms and speed. But in good time I will be!

Thought I would just put this up as when I was buying it the only thread was quite old. Ill update this if ppl actually want to know more as I get to test it more or shoot me a pm etc no worries

Thanks

See, stuff like this makes me regret not having the patience not to have waited on the auto to come available in my country. I daily my car and the morning commute can be a real PITA.
I'm curious as to how much of a performance increase you noticed in terms of 0-100 kph for instance (faster shifting = quicker acceleration in my book)

I have not done a timed 0-100 yet. The cars getting a lot of work done but I needed it for a daily to work and back while some parts were coming in so its only on a base tune right now that im just using till the rest of the parts come in.

I would suspect as you have said it would be quicker but how much ill have to find out when all the work is done in the next few weeks.

Transmission shifts (rpm drop) in 0.6 sec in auto mode and 0.4 in manual. The clutch lockup can sometimes take another 0.6. You would need to log to determine which function/s are faster.

Nah it is mechanical my cars in for other work to. No tuning involved for the valve body.

And yeah wayno for sure atm its all just how it feels compared to how it was no true data. Actually feels like auto shifts are faster now then manual. This is still at all under 4krpms round about.

In for updates, considering the stage 2 valve body but finding reviews is difficult. Turbo auto shifts are very slow at high rpm/boost, so hoping this is a viable solution.
