SPL Rear Camber Arm Question
Installing my Tarmac 2's along with some SPL rear camber arms I picked up used here.
Looks like maybe there were 2 different styles of these arms? One that uses a large nut to tighten against the arm body and one that uses the 3 allen bolts? (as shown in the picture) Mine uses the 3 allen bolts. My question is, the instructions say to measure your factory arm and set the new arm to the same length. It also mentions how far the threads should extend out. I had to extend mine out to the max recommended length to get my arms to stock length. Im concerned about doing an alignment to get more camber but the threads extending out too far. thoughts?

You are talking about SPL not SPC. when i was installing mine, i was able to get the equivalent length with about 1/3 to half of thread length on both side. not sure why yours can't :/ make sure you are lined up bore to bore and not length to length.
once you figure it out and install, make sure the locking collar has the allen bolt facing down for you to access, or you are going to have a bad time adjusting camber during alignment. |

The way you were describing the other style of LCA, many mistaken SPL for SPC, as far as i know, there is only 1 style. anyway, put the bolt position together between the SPL and OEM and see if the length is still an issue.

I had this exact same issue with my SPL LCAs.
I contacted SPL and they send me some longer/beefed up adjusters. |

Talked to Mike @ SPL today. They recommended just doing my alignment and if Im uncomfortable with the length they can send me the updated ones.
