Oil change interval - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

I am getting too confused by all the advise about when to change the oil. Some says oil change should be done every 4000-5000 KM, while some other including some service centres says that oil quality has been improved and lasts long and oil change need not be done before 8000 - 10000 KM. I haven't changed my oil for last 6000 KM at least. Will this be an issue? What should be the correct interval between oil changes? Any words of advice?

you're running synthetic oil now, it's now every 6 months or 10,000km's whatever comes first.
