Carbon Fiber?

So I just bought my 2013 FR-S, and it came with a carbon fiber dash pad. I assumed it came stock that way, but silver was stock right?

Anyway, I want to upgrade the interior, and I thought, since it's already started as CF, why not go that way?

Is CF tacky though? Out of style? Going out, a trend?

I want it to look classy, and I'm just on the fence.

Oh, then it is stock. Thank you!

A couple other ideas I had (probably stolen) were to finish it out in leather, or paint the pieces a piano black. Or paint the dash that is currently CF ultramarine to match the outside, the rest in leather. Just don't know how (badly) that would look with red stitching everywhere.

It is a 13 and the only CF is on the dash. The rest of the trim is silver.

Eh, I personally wouldn't deck out my car in cf. Imo if you're not using it for actual weight reduction then it's kind of a gimmick, and tacky. It's not going to impress anyone above the age of 16.

If it were my car I would replace all the cf bits with silver or black ones. I mean, it's your car and you do what you want with it, but that's my two cents. Ultimately, if you like the cf then at least replace the other silver bits with cf so the interior is consistent.

I did a few panels in suede. I didn't really want to overdo it with the suede though, so I am probably going to leave it as it is right now. the dash trim and door handle trim are wrapped in suede. to me, I think it looks nice.
