TRD Short Shifter

I've never used any kind of short throw shifter. Is it worth it? What are the cons?

Thanks!

For me, the throw on the OEM shifter is plenty short.

I have read where some of the short throw shifters can cause shifting problems for some people.

(of course, some people just have shifting problems, period)

I suggest you - read up on it ......

There are a few products to choose from. I like the TRD short shifter. It fits proper, great instructions and quality parts. Personally the stock throw was too long for me, you may encounter some notchy shifting. I think this happens with most aftermarket short shifters. But I love the feel and the positive more connected feel.

If you have a short shifter, do you need a new lockout? I just found out the TRD reg shifter in the mail to me won't work with stock lockout

Well, maybe if I have someone install sway bars or whatever they're called, I could have them do that too or skip it. I like the shifting, just feel like upgrading
