CELs and not cranking
I just got my engine built and after few days driving, it threw a few CELs. They were C1201, C1237, C1464, C1465, U0100.
On the freeway, I tried to put on the cruise control for a data log. The cruise light was orange and would not engage. It would not crank after it was parked. I reset the ecu and tried to reflash on ecutek, but no dice. The tune loaded like normal. Ecutek was unable to communicate with ecu. The shop that built the engine can't figure it out. So now I'm sending it to the dealer in hopes they will find whats wrong. Anybody have any thoughts on it? Hopefully I can fix it in house. |

Sounds to me like one of your ECUs is fried. However it's possible you're dealing with a loose harness or something not grounded properly. I got a couple of codes just by leaving one mounting bolt out of the fuel computer because it uses those bolts to connect to ground. All of these things definitely could be related to the engine build, but it may be a coincidence. It will be hard to tell, but if it's obvious these things were pulled apart expect the dealership to try to deny any warranty claim. |

Like mentioned above, I would suspect something (like the ECU) got fried.
I doubt the dealer will have much sympathy and want to put a new ECU in place, at your expense. no humfrz redneck fixes in this case |

Not looking good. Could be just the harness but...
1201 http://share.qclt.com/%E4%B8%B0%E7%9...em/0370016.pdf 1237 http://www.engine-codes.com/c1464.html 1464 http://www.engine-codes.com/c1237.html 1465 http://www.autocodes.com/c1465.html And the big one U0100 Possible causes - Faulty Engine Control Module (ECM) - ECM harness is open or shorted - ECM circuit poor electrical connection http://www.engine-codes.com/u0100.html

Hmmmm, unlikely all those systems that the cel codes refer to failed at once. As other said ,i suspect its a pinched/shorted/melted wiring. Check fuses, if you find blown fuses then look at that circuit to find why it blew in the first place. If you have built motor im guessing your turbo or SC, check for melted wiring if turbo , o2 sensor wiring is one to check. you probably also have Flex fuel kit check flex system wiring. Check under bonnet harnesses for pinching wearing on SC belts etc. Dealer is probably not the best choice, they charge heaps they are not familiar with turbo/SC kits on these cars or flex fuel systems or ecutek tunes. They wont be able to flash ecu even if everything was working as ecutek locks them out. the dealer is likely to get confused with your mods and ecutek tune and start replacing expensive components like ecu. Best to take it to a specilist subaru shop |

Wanted to resurrect this. Was a solution found? I don't have any CEL at the moment, but have all these codes found by EcuTek when I do a DTC scan.
Happened after I purchased and had Flexfuel installed - following P1449 code. |

I didn't see them again when I re-flashed the ECU again a bit later.
