Wiring dash cam for rear window

Hey everyone, I'm planning to get another dash cam to hook up to the rear window, how would I go about wiring it?

Currently the front window dash cam is plugged into my cig lighter and comes on when I go to acc switch, how would I make it function the same?

Thanks!

if you want a simple solution, get a dual USB charger and put it in your glovebox. run both dashcams to that charger and hide the lines. you will need to run your rear wires through the head liner.

Pop off the trim above the glove box and wire from there. There is lots of room behind that panel, it is where I stashed a Sirius receiver with plenty of room to spare.

I ran my dashcam through the headliner to the passenger A pillar and down the door sill partially (tucked wire behind the rubber strip) then through the side of the glovebox. there is a panel on the side of the glovebox that pops right off and it has a hole that leads into the glovebox. the panel goes back on without clipping any wires. easy job, though getting the A pillar trim back on was kind of a pain until I figured out there was a hidden clip

Is there an airbag behind the front A pillars and rear C pillars? I'm thinking about running wires through them to hide both dashcam and rear high mount brake light but concerned about compromising the safety of the passengers (well just the front since no one can fit in the back lol).

there's an airbag behind the A pillar for sure, not too sure about the C pillar but I would assume there to be one too since it's pretty close to a person's head if they sit in the back. with the force that an airbag has when deployed, I doubt a few wires will hold it back. if anything, it will rip the wires out and possibly your dashcam too when it deploys lol.

I have a blackvue + magic pro.
I ran the rear from the glove blox. Get a splitter for the lighter output.

Pop open the trim on the passenger side, and route it up the passenger front pillar through the rear, and it all tucked within the rear head liner.
