How do you get rusted hubs/bearings off?

Trying to install ARP studs and I didn't even get one corner in yet lol.

I had to use the bolt trick to get the rotors off. And now the bearing is rusted in place. I can't hammer on it because I don't want to break it.

I seen people recommend pullers but I also seen those separate the bearing and leave the inner race in place.

This is on the rear BTW, I imagine ill run into same on front. And my car doesn't even get driven in salt

Halp.

You think a slide hammer would work?

Oh god I wish I had a dollar for every rusted on hub I ever had to pull!
Get a puller, soak the joints with liberal amounts of penetrating fluid, take it slow, cross your fingers and hope the bearings stay put. Most of the time they do since they are not rusted but sometimes not so lucky. The only trick I can say is to not rush it.

Slide hammer increases risk to the bearings due to the sudden jarring impact. I must confess that I have used it as a last resort but then again I have also used a 5 pound sledge as an even laster resort.

Which puller should I try? My bearings are fine I just replacing studs I don't want to damage them and waste a ton of $ replacing them. I got a few days off after today so I can Amazon prime or harbor freight a tool and leave it on the jack stands for now.

I used one something like below. Usually worked pretty slick but some of the cars I worked on were 40+ years old and probably hadn't had the hubs off in 36 of those years.

Just search hub puller at your preferred vendor. I think mine was like $6 (back in 1974 when I bought it)

if you hammer or slide hammer, the bearing is done as it imprints the race (brinnelling). puller like @Tcoat showed is typically available to borrow/rent from auto specialty shops like Partsource up here or Pep Boys stateside.
and again as Tcoat said, lots of penetrant (SeaFoam works well) and if you can, polish off any of the rust you can...
good luck!

That is now $30.71. Yay inflation.

Actually not that bad since I earned $2 an hour then so that was about three hours work for me to buy. Be a little under half an hour's pay now.

How do you use that hub puller? I'm looking at it and it just looks like it would push the axle through and do nothing to take the bearing off?

That one attaches to the lugs, which are attached to the hub. By pushing in on the axle, it pulls the lugs and hub out. It's very similar to using the bolt method to get the caliper off.

Grab a video. I can't since at work and Youtube is the one thing I can't sneak through the filters. It will all make sense.
