Sparco seat base fitment issue?

Reposting this here as probably more experience than genera forum.

I received my Sparco seat base and went to test fit it before assembling with the side mounts and sliders. It seems a bit weird to me as it does not sit level in the car. The rear is much lower than the front and the front mount hole/flange does not sit flush with the floor either.

Is that normal for these? I am pretty sure the Sparco mounts in my BMW are level when installed in the car. These just seem odd because nothing is flush with the mounting surface and if I go to bolt it down there will be a small gap between the floor and mount flange.

I have seen some brackets come in the shop with a slight rake to them, but to be honest I would contact Sparco to be sure. I've had some Sparco brackets come in before with poor fitment. They're good to deal with though, but they may tell you that you have to handle it with the company you ordered through.

The base fits properly from a bolt hole alignment point of view. I just didn't expect it to be angled down toward the back like it is. I thought it would instead be raised an inch or so in the rear, so it is level with the front.

It is probably just normal for this mount in this car.

Why does it need to be level? Some people want the lowest mounts possible, and this provides some of that.

It doesn't need to be, that was kind of my question. My experience with Sparco mounts/seats in other cars is where I am coming from.

This car is just not what I was used to and that is what I was trying to figure out. Sounds like it is supposed to be raked back in this car.

I'll be bolting the seat in soon

I can't see your pictures but I use a Planted bracket for my Sparco seat. It does have a slight rake to it, which threw me off at first, but everything mounted perfectly.
