A loss you never want to have happen

Some of you may have known that my wife and I were expecting our 4th child in May as I mentioned it in a few threads (love my family). Unfortunately this also ended up being the most complicated and difficult pregnancy she has gone through. After being in Labor & Delivery about 10 times in the last 2 weeks for various issues and countless labs being done that kept coming back as normal our baby passed away some time overnight on the 9th into the 10th. She delivered Elijah James Cook at 0250 on the 11th. We spent a very emotional 14 hours with Eli before saying our good byes with both of our parents being able to see their 4th grandson from us.

While his passing was completely unexpected we know he is in a much better place. All we ask for are prayers in our time of mourning as we all cope with this.

As with any rainy day, which it has been doing non stop today, our little ray of sunshine were our 3 boys running up to mommy all excited to see her when we got home. Our middle boy delivered the smile we needed by declaring, as only any 4 year old can, when we started to explain what had occurred and telling them Elijah's name "I knew it was a boy!".

If any of you think its weird to be sharing something so personal it's because this helps me cope with it.

I have no idea what it feels like to even have kids let alone have the devistating chance to loose them. I am truely sorry for your loss. Sharing stories are sometimes the best way to get the weight lifted off your shoulders.
