Dry clean or throw away. Attempted hand wash before and failed horribly.

Don't worry bro. Doctors rub their ties all over gross shit and only 100% of their patients eventually die.

You'll be fine.

Why do I have a feeling that the rest of this thread is now going to be people making fun of atticus for being a germ freak?....

seriously. a couple weeks ago we both went into the washroom at the same time to piss.
i purposely took longer and waited for him to finish so i can go wash my hands. he's the guy the literally rinses for no more than 1 second, soapless. he starts talking to me and i can't stand at the urinal forever. i turn around and go to the sink and he gives me a big pat on my shoulder
fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuk

I own a dry cleners...

you can in fact wash a silk tie. It will get stiff and lose its "silk"y texture.
Dry cleaning will kill all germs if you're worried about germs. washing may not, unless you bleach it.

When you do decide to be cheap and wash your tie to save $4.make sure you don't throw it in a dryer.
