Front signal LEDs with black base - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

Has anyone changed their front turn signal with LEDs yet with black base? I really don't like the look of of the regular amber bulb and was wondering what kind of LEDs you are using that has a black base. Thanks!

I just wrapped the base in electrical tape... Problem solved.

Funny, coz I just saw your video. It looks nice but I just can't justify spending 80 dollars for those bulbs. Any other alternative?

I bought amber XP80 LED bulbs from DiodeDynamics, which came with an amber-colored base that made the reflector look... amber. So I plasti-dipped the base grey, and now the bulb and lens looks completely clear.

The XP80s are worth it, IMHO. Plus they allow you to do fun stuff if you buy a TapTurn:

Do you have pics of them on your car? It looks like a quality bulb but it doesn't look like it will be using the reflector housing on our car.
