Hey everyone, if you pay taxes you should go to your local states homepage and see if you qualify for food stamps. It's your money, you're just getting it back.

You committed fraud plain and simple. The only system you utilized was dishonesty and theft.
Why are you so upset? It's ok, don't worry about it. It's not a big deal, we're here to give our opinions. The op asked for advice/opinions, and each of us gave ours... Yeah I gave a shitty one at first, I'll admit, but still. It's not that big of a deal. plur

'murica! Land of opportunity

reminds me of a scene in an Aussie movie called The Wog Boy - however I don't think this normally happens here, bit more common sense seems to generally prevail.

Yup, that's most Americans right there...specifically a certain demographic.

Not at fault accidents shouldn't affect premiums (unless your insurance company is ripping you off). Sometimes premiums go up at renewal periods for other reasons - change in age, change in local demographics affecting underwriting groups, but the biggest reason for non-accident related increase is people raping insurance companies under liability claims (like the guy that got $22K, 40% of which went to his attorney). Personal injury attorneys are the biggest reason for overall premium increases.

Least your okay man. Try not to sue, there's a chance the other driver's insurance can countersue if you try to pull some BS. Happened to my father (truck driver); some redneck family (he hit their van, couldn't stop in time. Light damage thankfully) tried to pull a fast one. The police report stated no injuries at the scene, but they went to a crooked doctor stating all of them got seriously injured somehow. They dropped the case asap when they got threatened for fraud.
Just because one person got a payday, doesn't mean another will. I laugh when I see these "injury attorneys" on TV. For one a**hole that hit payday, 50 others tried and failed. "Results not Typical"..yeah. No sh*t.
