Or just to other West Coast states, they are less retarded.

P.S.: I'd rather see a lot of dyno info or just general info regarding 2022+ cars being tuned here rather than it just turning into another irace thread, lol

There are 13 states that currently use the California standard for emissions and a couple more that will soon be.
The only difference is that California actually attempts to enforce the laws they make while the others just have meaningless paper rules.

Back to dyno numbers for those actually interested in modding their GEN2.

Spoon feed from a posted video:

Solid Red: 98Ron, Full stock. 150kw = 201whp
Dotted Red: 98Ron, 4-2-1 EL header and full exhaust with NO tune. 154kw = 206whp
Grey: E85 tune with stock exhaust. 167kw = 223whp
Full exhaust and E85 to come.

I am confused. There were many threads back a while ago that said the stock numbers were way "under rated" and the car actually was putting 215 to 222HP down to the wheels.
Now with a header and tune they are only doing around 206?
Which is it guys?

Every dyno reads differently. That's why that guy was having folks drop their dyno results in there to come up with an average whp/wtq value for stock cars

My mistake! There is NO tune on the full exhaust dyno.

I know. That is why dynos should not be used to come up with all inclusive statements such as "the engine is under rated".

Still seems under rated to me based on the data: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...JJI/edit#gid=0

Sure there's outliers in the ~206whp range but that's still only a ~10.6% driveline loss which is really low for a RWD car.

Hub dyno's are certainly more favourable as a measurement.

There is just way fewer variables that are estimated on roller dynos - no strapping down, estimating loss on the tire friction, just a lot less to worry about and therefore less to 'accidentally' overshoot on settings.

I am not sure if the car is under rated really, the comparison runs of hub dyno's between this new model vs the old model really show that the last car was over rated. Old vs new has gone from ~110kw to ~150kw at the hubs.

I think the updated (refresh) model averaged a bit higher ~115kw.

I'm also confused, because the numbers he stated are opposite of everything else that has been posted thus far.

Regarding 91/93 vs E85.

Didn't KevinHo's number show a 3hp gain on E85 not almost 20whp?

Kevin's dyno was header & tune on 91 vs header & tune on E85. Peak only went up a few HP as you said but he made a decent amount of mid range gains on E85.

Spoon's numbers make reasonable sense considering their 98 RON dyno was without tune.
