Yea thats true. But power is not the only thing Im looking for. Im going to be looking to minimize heat soak and space to work on the engine, as well as better weight distribution and less overall weight.

Haha...can a B18C even be made to work in a longitudinal position?

A 2J would be epic, and I know it's been done. Can anyone link photos/videos/threads of a 2J swap here?

This would be epic on all levels! It'd be tough as hell to make work though...

A potent dime-a-dozen motor, but not much imagination.

With enough time, money, and know how, it can be done (but I doubt it ever will).

I like the overall engine, but can it be used in a longitudinal setup as opposed to the transverse setup already implemented into various Civics, Integras, and Accords?

Hartley V8? But you have it bass-ackwards. The Suburu new engine looks to be a legandary addition - I'd rather think about what cars this new engine would make better.

New MR2 with the FA20 boxer would be epic! Mini Porche anyone?

A Hartley would be fantastic in this car!

I never said anything negative about the Subaru engine. I know it's capable of incredible things, but this thread was started to simply get the creative juices flowing.

Imagination is for suckers. It's one of the rare things in this world that will be cheap, fast, and reliable. Enjoy your cake.
