You will also need a new passenger side plastic trim piece where the skid plate plastic pop clips snap into. You can see they redesigned the heat shield and even deleted the mounting tap that is predisposed to melting. Driver side piece is the same for 1st and 2nd gen. The gr86 has m10 holes on its new front crossmember for the braces, but I just reused the m8 holes with large washers. Finally I had to hammer down this vent that appears on the new skid plate to clear my HKS header. It fit fine with the old skid plate so I’m confused on this. I did the install because my stock transmission cover is destroyed from mistreatment and I had a stripped crossmember support beam. |

I’m really exited to see the TSSfab rear subframe when that comes out.

Ive had a shop bavel the overpipe so it doesnt rest on the frame, i also shifted the pipe a **** hair by rebolting the pipe in a slightly altered position. I also installed megan racing motor mounts and i can say I am satisfied.

Also TSSFab is willing to send me the bungs for the frame so i can get them welded and have the factory trays mount up. Ive sent them pictures, hopefully ill find a way to do so but for now i just drive carefully and a lot less frequently until i come up with a solution.

On another note, the motor mounts were pretty easy to install since the new subframe has a smaller footprint. It helped a lot with the installation.
