I am not sure where is the right place to ask this question, so I am just gonna ask my question here. Hope you guys don't mind. I would like to ask if any body here has purchased the Vortech SC installation video from this site. http://store.driftingshop.com/mrescfrbrzvo.html I wonder if it is legit. Thank you.

No. And you don't need it. Do not rush install with buddies overnight. Do the blower and bracket take a break make 110% its perfect. Do the washer bottle add silicone you'll see what I mean. And MAF wire. Install MAF before installing boost pipe!!!!!!!! Loosely mount all couplers and piping gingerly mount intercooler make sure everything looks cool. Then mount intercooler for real. I highly suggest buying some big self tapping hex head screws from Lowe's and throw away supplied screw bolts that screw into bumper beam. But still pre drill with the 3/16 drill bit. Just ask us and vortech. Eff the video

I tried ordering the video, it took two weeks for me to get the kit and the video still hasn't came so I did the install without it, the supplied manual is sufficient enough for the install as well as tips here from other members. A few weeks after the install I still hadn't received the DVD and got no replies on an email I sent them for a refund but after somebody asked about the video here and I stated I never received it I magically got a refund the same day haha

They are too busy StayCrushing to be StayFinishingVideo. As mentioned, between the Vortech instruction manual and the resourches on this website, there is no need to pay someone $25 for a video. StayRippingPeopleOff.

One of the nice things about this kit is that there are so many of us out there who have installed it ourselves and are more than happy to provide guidance/advice.

Feel free to hit me up via PM if you have any install questions. I've helped a few guys out so far.

Still curious why some cars exhibit a drop around the 6500 mark with the vortech kit, anyone had the dip and eliminated it?

Me and moto-east are trying to, the new Dynos will be after WBM. Our issue is direct injector duty time is being maxed out, were hoping the upgraded pump injectors will solve it.

Interesting,I thought the stage 1 kit didn't need any fuel upgrade

BTW this is all done with WAWA 92 pump gas.

From what me and mike saw, it needs it, if you want to use all the air suppled by the stock blower you need to make the DI and port system 100% duty cycle and then some. What were seeing with the flat liners is them trying to stay at 90-95% duty cycle, with mikes tune there is 0 knock and 0 knock correction.

I'm hoping that with the fuel pump/injectors I can make my HP/tq plot line straight and that should hopefully get me to around 270 whp on stock blower.

In the end this is all speculation until I can provide a dyno with the new pump/injectors, but I'm wondering why no other tuners are running into this.

(Upgrade is set to the 10th, and Dynos will follow shortly, have to remember that there's butt dyno tuning to get the AFR correct then after that there's dyno tuning to make the power.)

Due note that my kit is a visconti stg1+ kit so the fuel pump injector combo came with my kit, I just went with another tuner due to issues between me and @Visconti, since I don't believe anyone has dyno'd one of his kits he may, since there's no proof to see otherwise, ran into this issue and that's why he supplied the pump/injectors. If anyone finds a visconti vortech dyno I would LOVE to see it. (Please post with an @Adeets)

Keeping @2forme in the loop.

I don't want to start another vendor war in here, so lets keep it to a minimal. But this is making me even more nervous having him tune my car. I tried to get a refund and was denied, I know another local who did a charge back ugh. I want to use another tuner that I can actually trust! I started searching and i found this guy's dyno. And I swear i saw more but maybe not?
