300 Lb Ladder in the trunk/backseat

So due to work purposes I need to have a ladder with me and I managed to fit it in my FRS with the backseat down and what not.

I know this might sound like a weird question, but can I expect any consequences of having a 300lb ladder in the back of my car 4/5 days out of the week?

I weigh 200lbs if that mean's anything lol.

Any help or information is appreciated thank you.

Well, first something is gonna get scratched up in your car. I don't care how well you wrap the ladder or how gently you handle it. If you bubble wrap it, even the bubble wrap can put marks on plastic. Little bits of gravel stuck to bubble wrap will eventually wear away at the interior of your car.

Second, depending on how you situate it, your dampers and everything connected to the wheels are going to wear our faster in the long run, than not handling a 300lb ladder.

Bottom line: you are putting more wear and tear on your car at the very least. Worst case, you start a butterfly effect and cause the planet to blow up from nuclear war linked to the ladder being in your possession.

To be honest, I'm surprised you got that ladder in the FRS. I'm usually surprised when anyone uses the 86 to store big items for certain occasions. Weight wise, you should be good. If you're really worried. Just take the ladder out at the end of the day or whenever its not in use.
Don't drive hard with the ladder in the car. Make sure you properly secure that ladder too. You'll very likely ding/scratch up your car.

Or... just a thought. I understand you need the ladder for work and all, but you're going to want to rent or buy a truck.

the best thing to do is to buy a beater for daily use unless other reasoning (financial...etc). I personally wouldn't lug around a 300lb ladder in my 86. The only thing I can see going wrong is your rear struts will obviously take a little abuse as I don't know the load rating on these cars.

One of those Little Giant folding ladders with a 300lb load capacity, I suspect. But if it is literally a ladder that weighs 300lbs, then I don't know.

Confirmed, car will carry 600 lbs no problem (average of 4x 150lb passengers), you're good on weight.

Edit: True confirmation is on the door sticker, it lists a maximum weight.

So... how does a ladder small enough to fit in an FRS weigh 300lbs? Is it made of depleted uranium?
