Is that OEM 17x8, is so free (aftermarket 8" width is 0.250). Rivals 200tw is also free. So if those are OEM wheels, then your only 0.250 points. Stock class is 0.5 points maximum. The bolts and pads are free.

OEMs are 17x7, so 17x8 is not OEM.

So 8" width = .25
225 tires = .25
So you're right there at 0.5 maxed for Stock class.

I'd stipulate that only a set number of days can be transferrable, as you want to encourage people to converge at the track, not run different events, and then try to claim credit at their local series.

How does... 4 event results being transferable sound? This would allow for the norcal guys to get a good sampling of the socal tracks, but not so much that norcal participation would suffer substantially. We have 4 "socal" tracks that we frequent (WSIR, SoWS, ACS, CVR), and 1 track in the middle (sort of), which is Buttonwillow.

I wouldn't call 2:04 at Thill impossible... given the times the norcal s2k guys run at Thill/BW, I think it's possible with the right driver.

Thanks! That sounds fair, I think. I'll let NorCal chime in.

Hope SoCal may make it up here on one of these track days.

It's impossible on a stock/relatively stock car. I didn't say it was impossible with a modified one.

Well, I've done 2:06 at Buttonwillow in a 100% stock car (down to the tires, brakes, and alignment), and those times are roughly correlated...

I'll need to go up there sometime.

I've heard rumors of a certain maxrev running in the 2:01-2:02 range in his BRZ..

Bring the car up and run the time, and I'll be happy to eat crow. Until then, I still call BS.

Can you honestly tell me after watching this video that there is still about 8 seconds (I'm taking away 3 seconds for the bypass even though it should only be 2)being left on the table? The driver is a USTCC driver, not a slouch.

Impossible.

I've seen my buddy Matt put down a 2:03 on 255 Street Tires in an aero-less, mostly stock engine s2k. 2:04 in a lightly tuned FR-S on R-Comps doesn't sound impossible.

I'm not sure the identified stock benchmark is the best example of someone getting the most out of the platform?

Yes. I know Sean personally

My benchmark is maxrev, not Sean.

8 seconds? Weather dependent, but yes. 5 seconds? Absolutely.

Let me know when you come up to beat Sean's time by 8 seconds. I'll believe it when I see it. We're talking 8 seconds here. That is an eternity.

Again... You don't need me to do it. Wait for Rob to go out. He knows the track well.
