Changed it back to FRS, my preferred setting, and it sounded much better.
It's supposed to be on TC for this system.

Listened a lot when the car is stopped and when driving. Even when it's stopped the quality is meh.
I still rate those are "cheaper" headphones and I usually don't like to compare headphones to speakers.... case in point, I much prefer the sound of my somewhat modest monitors to the sound of the sennheiser HD800 phones.

Does it just sound too flat for your tastes? The more I listen to this system the more I am loving it. Did you find anything wrong with the install/harness connectors? Remember to disconnect the dash speakers?

Flat would be great. It's oddly muddy at times, often in the midrange. I disconnected (and actually removed) the larger dash speakers. Couldn't find any other issues with the connections.

Something isn't right. Mine is not muddy at all. I'd call them!

I took my sub back off and wiggled the connections a lot and got some more slack from the harness that you cut the slot for. Maybe its placebo but the sub sounds stronger and its actually got some more fidelity. I wonder if one of the pins was not making good contact when the sub was installed due to not enough slack...

Could be! I hope it works out for you. If not, definitely call them. Great accessibility and customer service. They apparently will answer 24 hours a day 7 days a week

OEM audio plus customer service is second to none. I have dealt with them extensively because I'm picky about how my music sounds and they have worked with me very patiently. I have never had an issue contacting them by phone or email. Would recommend talking to them about your issues.

FT86SpeedFactory has 2% off. I'm a deal shopper and this is the best that I could come up with. OEM+ has run promotions before, but nothing current I believe.
