Got my OFT a couple days ago, and I've been loving the Stage 1 tune. Very nice.

Not quite as impressed with the quality of the OFT itself, though. The touch screen is incredibly bad, and the plastic clip that holds the ODBII cable into the OFT snapped off of the tablet the first time I went to unplug it.

Is this normal, or is my unit some kind of factory fluke?

Edit: Also, I'm taking my car into the dealership to fix a scratch on my rear bumper. Should I bother flashing back to stock settings before taking it down?

Same thing happened to mine. The connection seems to be just fine without the tab, I wouldn't be too concerned about it.

I would say yes. Even though there is no reason to, if they hook it up and do an update without telling you, the ecu will no longer match your "married" tune, so the OFT might not recognize your car.. "I could be completely wrong though"

Mine also did that on the clips after a short time. I haven't worried about it since it is secure. The touch screen may seem cheap, but trust me, you wouldn't want a nicer one as this is a much sturdier design. We have multi-million dollar machines at work that use the same type of screen for durability.

what version factory tune / cal ID was on your car before you went stage 1?
If you are on the newest B01c/d series rom, dealer will have no need to plug in and update ECU.
If you are on an older version, and request the update for lets say.... AC idle dip TSB, then yes, deff flash back to stock first, let em flash newest ROM, - re-marry OFT and flash stg 1 back.... unneeded though, as all the new OTS maps are based on the new roms.

What isn't working well with the touchscreen? Touch accuracy? If so, try re-calibrating the screen. It will fix that up right away.

I kept the cord connected to it for that reason!

Hi Guys,

Received my OFT today! Everything has been super smooth thus far, FT's, and AFR are well within spec. Running the e85 tune, and 'WOW' doesn't even describe this thing. I feel like I unleashed the beast inside. It pulls like a f'kin banshee now! No longer does it feel 'tired' towards the redline. It pulls super hard all the way through and the torque dip' is WAY less noticeable. Really happy with this device. It improved the feel of this car, ten fold.

My only qualm is the valve-train noise around the 3500-4000 region. But I guess that's just the nature of the beast, and the revised VTT mapping. Also, my ABS light and traction control symbol seem to be appearing at random when data logging. At least it seems random, I tried braking hard, and breaking the tires loose and it didn't do it every time. Not sure what would be causing this, but it has only happened when data logging?
