Yep, that or goes away and tries to connect and keeps connecting and disconnecting. For A$10 you may as well try another dongle.

Maybe @2forme could amend the OP to have a big warning that this is only for the android 2.3 version.

From what I've seen/heard, the 4.1 units use a different set of files so shouldn't be an issue - but I'll update the FW thread anyway.

I'm starting to get a little bit bored with my normal display and apps (still all the same as when you root it) what does your head unit screen look like and what apps do you find helpful.

Im working on a custom one right now. Full custom startup, home screen and torque gauges to match my brz, coming together really nice. Here is the RPM gauge. I wanted it to look similar to the stock brz. I did add my own little take on it, but overall, its how i wanted it. Real easy to make however i want. You cant see the needle, numbers or tick marks, etc. Because this is the mockup, and not the live torque, but it looks good, i just need to take some screenshots in the unit. I have it out of the car right now as i am working on the customs mounts and stuff.



Main thing i use is Nova launcher, that allows custom homescreen. Also looking into tasker, to setup custom things to launch, shutdown, etc based on certain criteria. I will post some screenshots soon.

To be clear im using a nexus7.

Hey guys, I'm having really bad problems with my unit. I bought it off of ph0en1xtk and it was pretty much plug and play. He did all the work and rooted it, but it's been giving me problems since I got it. I would be driving, then you'd hear a pop and the unit would shut off. In order to turn the unit back on, I'd have to push on the screen to turn it back on. The warranty is up and I'm pretty much running out of options. It's a tu21a unit I believe. I thought it was acting this way because maybe some electrical tape got off and wires were touching, but I cleaned up everything and wrapped everything perfect and it's doing it more than ever now. If anyone can chime in and let me know what's wrong, that would be great.

Also, my AC lights don't work. Not sure why. If anyone knows what wires I'm supposed to use to get those working, that'd be great. ph0en1xtk didn't like the lights on the head unit, so he took off them I guess by disconnecting a wire. I would like the head unit lights back on and also my AC lights. thanks.

Have 4.1 unit. Boots but no response from touch/buttons. Ideas? Really don't want to send back.

Before try a reset (hard reset) and then if freezy too try to flash with fw #2.7.9, a friend of mine just this morning solved this way under my suggest.

Warn..if you get troubles...start with System Version 2.6.40 and then update to System Version 2.7.9
