Car better not rev-match on my own. I already do this out of habit, and it'd take a bit of fun out of driving a manual.

- If leather seats I want them in white, if cloth I'll take black

- I like the zippered pocket system then used in the original concept because (they said) it allowed soft touch materials with a light weight. But I have hard plastics in my celica and never really saw a problem with them at all. As long as the steering wheel, arm rest(celica is hard), and door rests are comfortable I'm fine.

- I absolutely love the design of the shift-knob/shift-boot so Id absolutely love for that to carry over. Hell having that and semi decent speed would make this car an auto buy for me YES, SHIFT KNOB IS GOOD

- Concept I style steering wheel YES

- A double din (or space for one) stereo system so I can put an after-market gps system in. MEH, I'LL TAKE FACTORY

- The dials that can switch tunes between eco, normal, and sport modes. WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? IT'S NOT A HYBRID

- Readout for mpg

- Analog rpm and mph, digital everything else. If the rpm and mph are digital they need to atleast LOOK analog.

- Idk what they are called, but instead of a key its just a sensor that you keep on your keychain in your pocket that knows when you are around and in your car. So no key when your close it automatically allows you to open your door, and when its in the car the push button automatically works. Like in the mazdas and the new genesis coupe. REALLY? THOSE ARE THE ONLY TWO CARS YOU CAN COME UP WITH LIKE THAT? HOW ABOUT INIFINITI, LEXUS, ETC...

Body:

- No sound deadening as I'll add my own GET REAL.

- Glass moon roof MEH

- Oem Hids and Fog-lights that aren't led. It's not enough just to get rid of the leds, I want normal fogs like my celica...lighting is important to me.

- A toned down version of the II concept rear bumper, I HATED the first rear and that would be a deal breaker for me....or means I need a body kit.

- No external antennas YES

- A trunk so I can lock things in there and not worry about people breaking in. YES

- 17" rims and enough sidewall on the tire for the car to be comfortable on the non-track pack

- Equal or better hp/weight and please much better torque to weight ratio than the celica gts. I don't need a super fast car, but if the celica can beat this thing it wont feel like much of an upgrade.

- 2700lbs or less

- Rev matching NO, LEARN TO DO IT YOURSELF

- But most of all a fun to drive car WORD

No Air con, No Stereo, Roll up windows, cloth for door handles. I dun care as long as it's made just for a track in mind first example Porsche Boxter Spyder.
some of you guys are silly.

The rev-matching is the silliest as it's one of those things that goes completely against this cars design: that being a driver's car.

Pretty soon you guys will want it steer for you too.

Yeah I know I'm just letting people know that since it's there it's already doing the steering anyways. Drivers car or not it's there. What car doesn't have cruise control these days. I mean so far you guys seem to be missing the point of the thread here, it's asking for people opinion of what they want. not asking another person to go and mark off a list and be disrespectful. And so far ther's 8 page to this thread and you and the other person seem to only target my post and a new person. Every other post seems like a civilized discussion.

What sup with that man? we've never even met. Can't we just get along? If you NESW20 and Oldskool has a problem with me I like to know what it is?Because I don't like the elitist stuff, it's not nice and I don't think someone who is passionate enough to own a MR2 and a AE86 would be be so opinionated. So what is it guys? Hit me up on PM about it.

And about the rev match seems like Not only 2 people has it on their list, and there's an Off Button. Rev Match would only come with a upgraded model anyways if they even added it. if you want a barebone model I put that on my list as well.

And when I put Rev match on my list I meant for the Automatic. A friend has an RSX and his sequential had no Rev Match, he killed 2 tranny...not that he's a good driver... but Rev match would of helped. And a Lift Back style Hatch doesn't go against anything the car stands for, because the AE86 came in a lift back, if you want a Trunk then that's cool I want a Hatch. I will admit that the shift light indicator is kind of dumb but it's 2011 it might be a digital tact and have it.

not trying to be elitist, but if it comes with a bunch of that stuff, they're deviating greatly from the original intent of the car. i really don't see the point of the auto rev-match feature, other than a gimmick. i pray that this car doesn't have gimmicks and other flashy stuff on it. however, i do want it to be nice, and have available features such as GPS. i would rather they spent money on integrating a useful, well-thought-out GPS system than working out an auto rev-match system (just an example).

i have no problem with you, i just disagree (and i also agree with quite a few of the things you guys mentioned) with certain options/features that some people want on the car. other than one or two little jabs, my reply wasn't really intended to belittle anyone. :happy0180:

I do not do much long distance driving anymore but if I had to make a list it would be this:

-comfortable recaro seats like on mitsubishi evo x
-reasonable dashboard so I could slap my tom tom on top of it without obstructing half the windshield.
-great rear view visibility
-hatchback version. (I had both coupes and hatchbacks and hatchbacks are more versatile)
-some sort of alertness sensor thingie for long distance voyages.
-projector headlights and fog lights standard
-ABSOLUTELY NO CUPHOLDER between center console armrest and stick shift or automatic shift.
-entire dashboard angled to driver like on 94-99 celicas and 94-99 supras
-engine compartment accessible for basic maintenance without having to go to dealer to change spark plugs, oil, battery, light bulbs, fuses.
-factory ipod connection
-superb surround sound great quality audio system that comes standard and does not come as a 3000 dollar dealer option.
-dome light that allows you to read and is not dim and boring.
-dial to set brightness of gauges during night time
-dial to set color of gauges during night time
-tire pressure sensors.
-clear indication of fuel level. None of that quarter tank light goes on mumbo jumbo where you can drive 100 miles on a "empty" tank. I want to know how far I can travel
-adequate trunk space and i dont mean 22 cubic feet tjat cant fit more than 1 carry on luggage. I want 22 feet (or whatever it is) and I want is square with no curves, slants, bends, turns etc.
-upgradability should not cost 5 times what it costs for other manufacturers.

That's where my car has it's cupholders and I love it? Nice and low for less spillage, solid cutout in the tunnel instead of a fancy mechanism; it's perfect for me. The whole assembly also pops out for cleaning.

My '93 Celica had the cupholders as a popout design in front of the shifter on the other hand. Now that's a terrible place for a cupholder. I bumped into the cups all the time on 2-3 upshifts.

In the bimmer, the center armrest has my forearms comfortably hovering above the drinks. Again, perfect. I love that spot.

1. a black interior cloth or leather interior
2. color-changing instrument cluster like they've got going on over at ford.
3. reliability.

Few additions///

- Either blue or white interior lights, or the ability to change colors (no red, orange, green or anything tacky)

- I love the window switch being in the center like in the celica.

- Cup holders: anywhere that's convenient, make them big enough to actually hold drinks, and ideally set up like the most recent civic where its very low and cups don't get in the way of shifting.

Looking at the design of the first concept the center divider extends all the way back to the rear seats. It would be nice if the rear cup holders were there in the center too

Admire my artwork LOL. The red is the cup holders the blue ball is suppose to be the shift knob and you should be able to figure it out from there but yeah if they did that it would be awesome
