The car becomes underdamped when the spare and 4/5 tank of fuel is removed at the rear it's as simple as that. Last edited by Zhangy; 04-28-2015 at 11:37 AM. Reason: lift* |

Despite the fact that your point is entirely out of context, once again you fail to show how this affects the car other than incrementally, besides how your butt dyno perceives it. Let me rephrase: This does not matter day-to-day. Removing the spare tire simply because you feel that the car performs differently/better in your day-to-day driving, frankly, is dumb. I am sure the car will definitely feel different if end up with a flat and you are stuck waiting for a tow truck. But then again, you say that half a tank of gas is the same weight. So I guess you just like driving around without a full tank. But hey, only getting around 150 miles (sorry, you're in Canada, 242 km) per half fill-up is totally worth the improved feel, right? I'm done making counterpoints to your nonsensical points. Good luck with your car. Hope you don't run out of gas or get a flat. |

Maybe women. I would rather get to where I need to go and put it on myself in 10 minutes rather than wait an hour for AAA.
Also, if your butt dyno is so well calibrated, it should indicate that removing weight from low in the rear of the car will probably make the 53:47 weight distribution a tad more nose heavy too. |

You don't get it. You simply just do not get it. This is not practical or useful for a DAILY DRIVER. You left out the little bit about the fact that they also took the air box and filter off, increasing flow to the engine which ups HP, which probably did more for the time than taking out the (what appears to be a full size) spare.
I mean, really, you either are truly trolling, or just that dense that you are completely missing the point that this is not something you do for a daily driver. |

Not sure why I would want my car to feel more bouncy. Good luck with that. I'm going to do things my way and drive safely, you do things your way and make sure your AAA or roadside assistance is paid up. The small amount of difference you perceive isnt worth the possible headaches. That's MY point.
