Back in Missouri, I bought a 4,000 sq ft house. My wife (now ex) wanted it all painted or wall papered so it would be personalized. So, I did that.

A few years later she took off. So, I met the present mrs humfrz and we sold her condo and she and her daughter moved into my house with my two sons. She wanted the whole house re-painted or wallpapered so it would be personalized (different from the old mrs humfrz's tastes). So, I did that, again, yep the whole 4,000 sq ft.

A couple of years after that we moved to Washington. I let her and our daughter pick out the house that we bought. Shortly after we moved in, she decided that the whole house needed to be repainted. I reluctantly agreed to do that, with the stipulation that I was only going to paint it ONCE, so she better be sure of the colors she wanted for each room (of course, they all had to be different - ).

So, for the next few weeks, she had swatches of different colors of paint all over every room.

FINALLY, I said that I was only going to paint the house once and if she couldn't make up her mind within a couple of weeks, I was going to paint the whole damn house "doeskin"!

She decided, I painted - end of story.

After we were done, mrs mafia blurted "We still need to do the ceiling". I'm paying someone to do that. They can break their neck staring at the ceiling.

Is more of a don't get married so that you're not painting a 4000 sq ft house twice in case the first wife doesn't quite work out.

Bought a new Honda GCV170 over the weekend.

OK, it was a pressure washer but still a Honda engine.

Pulled it out of the box, attached the handles, added oil and fuel, switched the power setting to on and it started with basically half a pull and ran flawlessly for about 4 hours, including one fuel up.

Porch is all clean from pollen season now, although I'll likely have to do it once again. That's OK when you've got the right tool it isn't really that much work.

Oh and it does match both the FRS and the Mustang, with it's nice red color.

That's pretty slick but wouldn't work on my front porch unfortunately. Would work for the driveway, but my old self propelled mower is designated to be converted into an airplane tug, if I ever get around to working on it.

I bought one about 5 years ago, same engine. Be sure to drain the carb after each use or run something more powerful than Stabil in the gas. Mine ran flawlessly the first 3 or 4 times I used it. Then it sat for a couple of months with Stabil in the gas and afterward refused to run on anything but 1/2 choke. I've had the carb off twice to clean it, without success. So now, when I use it, half choke it is.

Run the marine stabil, it is blue. Works much better.

Oh, yes, time to stand your ground. For the past 30 years, mrs humfrz has "hinted" for me to remove the popcorn from the ceilings in our house. I asked "why"? She says because it is asbestos! My reply has been "if you don't mess with the asbestos, it won't mess with you". Then she says "and, because it's dirty" - my reply is "don't look up".
