Targa top to at least keep some horizontal rigity, if it doesn't, it'll probably feel like a different car. If not targa, I'd probably go Miata, it looks really good for the new gen.

Here is my definition of a Sportscar.
MUST FALL INTO AT LEAST TWO OF THE BELOW CATEGORIES. - Two doors (Not including Vans or Trucks) - No rear seats (Not including Vans or Trucks) - High hp per litre ratio engine AND/OR Turbocharged - RWD or AWD format - Sold exclusively as a sports themed vehicle, not derived from a economy base model So using the above guide the EVO is indeed a sports car as it meets the third and fourth requirements. The RX8 is another sports car with 4 doors albeit suicide doors. |

Would you rather have More powerful or convertible 86 ?

Agreed. That is way too broad. A Chrysler 200 AWD fits his definition by having the Pentastar and AWD. There aren't many AWD cars out there that I'd consider a sports car to be honest. Even most AWD 911s are edging more GT than sports cars IMO. I'm hesitant to call the FR-S a sports car because the coupe shape clearly exists for practicality's sake. If the FR-S had a coupe profile more like an RX7, was a couple hundred pounds lighter (basically more focused), I'd be more inclined to call it an actual sports car. Sports coupe is an accurate definition for the BRZ/FR-S. Something like a Civic Si would be a sport compact (despite being a sporty coupe... haha). Sent from Tandy 400 |

Having just spent $1,600 to have the convertible top replaced on MomHawk's '05 Mustang, I have no desire to EVER buy a convertible again. Of course, her next car will be a convertible....
My preference would be: Targa/Louvers > Targa > Louvers> More Power > Stretched More Back Legroom > any other modification > any other car > Convertible
