Mysteriously powerful???
They are talking about crank HP so 300 hp is around 255WHP which EVERY other FI kit has achiave with 5psi. |

True, but he has a valid point. We need whp/wtq numbers when deciding on making a big purchase such as forced induction. It's the deciding factor for a lot of people on what kit they go with.

The reason there are no numbers yet is because they haven't been tuned yet, at least that's what one of my sources that worked on a car with the Vortech told me.

There's a thread on a different build where the supercharger increased power output to only 200hp and 180lbfts AT THE WHEELS. So, I'd expect the Vortech system with an intercooler to be able to boost hp and tq at least 50-60 at the crank, before requiring other engine mods. What's nice about the supercharger is that it spools quick - so though peak levels might not be as great as a turbo, you get more hp gains under 4k rpms where you usually are running the engine.

Just tell us already, I can't wait any longer!!! lol
The HKS S/C's output was a serious letdown. I really hope they can find more power with it, and I hope Vortech's kit makes even more than that. 280-300bhp is what I would want and I think it's definitely achievable given the power additions I've seen with certain S2000 and Miata kits. MX-5 (NC) Flyin' Miata S/C kit (Eaton MP62-based): Originally 166bhp, 140lb/ft After supercharger: ~280bhp, 240lb/ft S2000 (AP2) Vortech S/C kit: Originally 240bhp, 162lb/ft After supercharger: ~358bhp, 219lb/ft

They've been teasing us for over two months and we haven't had anything but cropped pictures and speculation.
Now that it's installed on multiple cars and they've surely been dyno tuned, they are STILL holding out on numbers and the cars are now on display at SEMA! Ridiculous! Those wheels are hideous. |

Maybe the result is unimpressive. That seems like the main reason for holding out. Because one would be quick to boast if the end result is really amazing. Just my speculation. I hope that I am wrong but this is what I believe now.

I can believe these haven't been dyno tuned yet. Getting a kit as clean as this built and ready for SEMA is a tall order. I'm definitely excited to see the results, but two months is nothing when it comes to developing a good FI kit. This one looks very clean in that engine bay. It's a job well done so far.
