how much power were you at when the stock one went? I guess tq is the correct question, and what were you doing when it happened? at the strip?

It didn't die due horsepower, the limit on this trans seems to be in the 700whp range lol. Mine died due to the dreaded 4th gear grind and I'm sick of changing trannies.

So myself and the white crew went out hunting corvettes and mustangs last night. Found a nice c6 Z06 to play with. On pump gas I pulled 2 cars on him by third gear and in fourth I pulled one more, the guy was shocked that it was that fast.

isn't the gearing on those insanely short? I looked at it as an alternative and realized first and second and possibly a third would be useless... unless you're changing the final drive out as well.

Yeah they are not ideal and that was one of the reasons why I abandoned it as an option.

So this is what happens to an fx400 when you attempt to make over 500whp on corn

That's the reason LJ could go past 19psi and my numbers suffered for it. New one will be installed tomorrow and it hopefully hits the track Friday or Saturday. Fingers crossed for an 11.99 pass.

Mine did not look like that fortunately. But definitely 500 whp is pushing the clutch past its design.

It most probably will be CM 725, twin disk...

I am driving Exedy TD, breaking it in and its not nice at all coming off a stop..
