I'm hoping they will be here by the end of next week. Probably going to get snow (even if it's just a bit) within a couple weeks or so. And I'm not sure I want to be driving on Summer's when it finally happens.

Wheel covers are so cheap, no? Even if you got Black you wouldn't be using wheel covers?

No covers. That's why I was looking for center caps to cover exposed center.

This is probably what your take-off wheel will look like. Photoshop onto your car, or what not.

Interesting. Looks whiter than I was expecting. Which is probably a good thing for my car. I'd still like wheel covers regardless though.

Why are you not interested in getting covers? Don't like the look? Or something else?

Hope you don't mean you can't put covers on the one's I bought. Wouldn't be the end of the world but I'd like to get something that looks nice since I unfortunately have to have them on for several months. :P

Man they are bright! But the price seems right. I think I'll be placing an order tonight.

You don't really need a cap for the front like on an FWD, there is nothing there to cover up. However one for the back would be nice,as the nut is exposed. I wonder if plastidip would suffice in place of grease. The hub id is a little smaller than garden variety caps which tend to be 1 31/32'". If I remember correctly the hub id is 1 15/16".

I will be interested to see if they are really 56.1mm bore?

The offset calculator here:

http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

says that a 50mm offset on a 6.5" width will give 4 mm more clearance on the inside and suck the tire outer edge in 8mm

for a 42 mm offset on a 6.5" width will give 12 mm more clearance on the inside with the tire outer edge in the same place as stock.

If you folks live in Ottawa I recommend Ottawa Tires direct. They will beat & or price match Tirerack.

I'm getting x-ice 3s in 215/50/17 for $900-ish

~$300 for sensors, plus at least another $100/year (assuming a deal of $50/time) is just a waste IMO.

I just had mine to the dealer today. I had already put my winters on myself, so the charge was $26.70 to re-program. I can live with that twice a year.

Ordered wheels from Costco on the 30th (Tuesday), shipping out today (6 days later). Scheduled arrival date is the 13th (Tuesday).

So, from order to arrival looking like 2 weeks exactly. Moral of the story, don't wait until it's too close to snowing before ordering your stuff. :P

Looked at the forecast yesterday and the first snowfall was expected for around the 14th or 15th. Things got changed, expecting snow on the 8th, 10th and 11th. Uh oh.
