Nope! Used a simple set of 35 tuner lugs and they fit perfectly

Hey Guys,

I'm looking at getting some hyperblack 18/9.5 + 35 Rota Torque wheels.

Are these suitable to pop on the 86 without any mods or fender rolling?

Also, would 225/45/18 Michelin tyres fit on these rims? I already have these so it would be nice not to have to throw them away.

And, in what way would these changes to the wheels affect the speedometer? If it does affect the cars current settings, are wheel shops able to reconfigure?

Sorry if these questions seem dumb i'm quite new to buying wheels and none of the suppliers around town have rota wheels.

Do you have rubbing issues? Do you have an alignment done in front and rear?

Full alignment done. zero caster and toe. camber is -2 rear and -1 for the front. Fenders aren't rolled.

In this picture, I am running 235/40/18 front and 245/40 rear. I rub all the time on cornering and im 2" lowered on bc coils. If you want to not rub, and have perfect fitment, use 225/40/18 front and 235/40/18 rear (for stance/stretch) or 245/35/18 (for a meatier tire for power and optimized handling. Im picking up a set of 245/18 pilot super sports, finally out of the stance game? lol It all depends really what suspension you are running. Are you planning on slamming your frs with coils? or stock suspension? or 1 inch springs? etc... what are you planning on doing with your frs. daily driver, track, stance game etc...

When I plasti dipped my wheels orange.

Thanks for the reply. I'm running Tein street flex coils and want to go as low as I can without rubbing. I use my car as a DD so I drive her to hard, but like to take corners from time to time. I'm worried that these rims poke to much and if I hit a pot hole that they will damage my car or suspension. If I do keep the rims, I might run 245/35/18. I too am going to plasti dip the rims grey or black. I bought them of a fellow member and the original color is white.

I'd suggest 225/40/18s if you want to stretch and go low with average cornering ability, if you are running forced induction and still want a bit of stretch, I recommend 235/35s. If you want to drop it fully, go with a stretched set for sure, 245/35s will rub if slammed, 225/40s and 235/35s should be fine with slamming your car. As for damaging your car, Ive never had a problem with these wheels and its been a year. I live in Ontario, Canada where the roads are absolutely brutal, pot holes, man holes, cracks, rocks, lets just say they don't call ontario, "onterrible" for no reason lol. back on track, i know someone with these wheels with exact specs on his frs, 225/40/18x9.5 squared, and he is slammed on BC coils, he doesnt rub at all. So ideally 225/40/18 on a 18x9.5 +35 wheel with no spacers is perfect for slamming, is decent for cornering, and good for dding.

Will 18x9.5et+35 wrapped with 245/35/18 square rub if I'm lowered on h&r sport springs? I'm new to this but everyone seems to be running coils. Are springs going to clear? The spring should be 1" in front and 1.2" rear. What are the benefits of running coils? Thanks in advance and sorry if these are dumb questions. Lol

No dumb questions here. Running springs should be good and I believe you will not rub. Most people go with coils over springs for the adjustment ability. I personally went with Tein street flex coils because I use my car as a DD (daily driver) but wanted an all in one system. It really self preference on if you go coils or springs. I've read pros and cons on both sides.

hopefully this is not too late, but you will rub because you dont have any camber adjustability. If I were you, I would go 225/40 front & 235/40 rear. You will not rub, I am positive about that. I am running BC racing coils, and I have my dampening (stiff/softness) set to the softest ride quality. I absolutely love my coilovers. I personally would just save up and wait for the coilovers, you will end up wanting to find the perfect wheel gap, ride comfortability, for fuction or form, etc... Everyone I know on springs, ends up selling them and buys coilovers. Where they could have save more money by just going straight for coilovers.

I ended up going 215 in front and 235 in the back
