Mods, could you create a tacked thread for the next round of endless speculation?

If I could give a word of advice. I'd say you should just let Scion go. Just let it go.

yes. SFR >>>>FRS 2.0 2018 or whatever the article is saying.

For me atm it is:

1) SFR
2) WRX
3) Upcoming Supra
4) FRS/BRZ rehash

Well that's what I said... these are just speculations/rumors but I'd think if anyone is going to get wind of future direction, intentional or not, it would be one of these Japanese sites.

Good luck finding the "fact" you're looking for.

The "fact" I am looking for will come out when they are ready. It always has. Just because a publication is in Japan that does not make it any more likely to contain fact. Most of the time they repeat what the others say. Things like the Mazda partnership for a next gen 86 or a convertible are twisted versions of other projects which Toyota outright denied years ago yet these publications keep resurrecting the same old topics as new. Hell, there are many times when they release the exact same article and just change the year. It is the slow season in the automotive news world and they need to have something to create buzz (and income) so they just rehash the same shit.
Speculation and wishing is all fine but people need to totally understand that it is exactly that and not take ANY blog or clickbait sites regardless of country of origin as fact. Is everybody enjoying their AWD, turboed, convertible, rotary engine equipped version that these sites have said are coming "next year" for the last 4 years?
Speculate away and have fun yourself but don't take one word as "Fact". Not one.

They're going to rebadge a bmw z5, nobody knows what it's going to be called, but odds are decent it will have an i6, and it will definitely be a rwd GT sporty car.

Each morning when I'm still partially asleep, I'm seeing this thread on the front page of the forum. And for about half a millisecond, I see "next gen 86" and get super excited. Then I remember it's bull. Stop playing with my heart, thread.

And way too expensive for a forum full of guys complaining the 86 cost too much money and depreciates too much!

Never underestimate people's ability to borrow more money than they can afford to.

True but I can not condemn anybody for that since I have been an expert in the subject in the past! Probably a third of the people on here have already borrowed more than they can afford to buy a $26K car so not so sure how they will do it with an $80K(?)+ one.
