Hmm? Idk about a $100,000 turbo v6. Maybe if it was an inline turbo 6. But we will have to see. No hybrid for me at The time being. But maybe it's just me... Maybe I've been inhaling too much e85 fumes. Lol

Nothing is really confirmed. We have gotten reports like this with pricing ranging as low as 60k. I doubt we will get actual pricing before a street version is shown.
As far as the other car Tada said from the beginning that the twins were part of a 3 car lineup. Im hoping mr2, but it could be a new celica. And unlike Ed Im all for a hybrid powertrain like the one Toyora is working on which is more similar to a KERS system than a Prius |

if it's really gonna be $100K then no thanks. The Nissan GT-R will be a better value for that kind of money. Though obviously I haven't run out and bought one of those either. It's just the odd effect of branding/marketing psychology. It just feels weird throwing $100K down on a Toyota or a Nissan. Why can't they make a nice sports car in the $40-60K category instead to take on the Porsche Cayman and 370Z? I feel like any sports car in the $16K market is going to be a disappointment to anyone but high school kids. I can already hear the complaints -- too cheap looking, not enough power, maybe even wrong wheel drive. And considering how much other hybrids cost right now it seems really improbable they can offer one at $16K.
Like Finch said, they should bring back the MR2 and put it in the middle slot. Think economized Lotus Evora or competitor to Alfa 4C and Cayman. So: $25K - FR-S $50K - MR2 Mk4 $75K - FT-1 (Supra) Because as it stands, for $100K I think I'd rather have this. ![]() and yeah imagine that after a few mods haha: [ame]http://youtu.be/tWd98HP04gY[/ame]

I can't Imagine anyone wanting to spend 100K+ for a car with 402HP.... The low HP works for our cars because of there price range and minimal amount of competition, but at 100K there is a lot more competition and i don't think it would do very well.
The new corvette looks really nice and at about 50K, its got improved handling over passed models and i've heard its actually really good.... and more power than the Supra will have... I'm am however sort of interested in the 16k car though, might try talking my sis into getting one of those since she is saving for a new car lol. |

Crap, I had very high hopes for the cheapo sports car but that's just too cheap. For $16k with the 1.5L hybrid, their new 'sports car' will be undercutting the Prius C (i.e. Yaris) with the same drivetrain by $3k. I don't know how they can make a car $3k cheaper than that with the same engine, unless it has absoluely zero new engineering. But it won't be a sports car, that's for sure.

If it does come in as a hatchback, that may be something to trade the wife's tC in for.

I can't see the low end car being GT86 based. How are they going to pull $9k from the FR-S? $16k is about where they iQ starts though, so maybe a new city car.
