I like the induction noise, though I've owned and been around Hondas my whole life.

To be fair, I think the low range tweaks likely smoothed out the engine. So, it may be worth it after all. I'm sure Vishnu team is working on it to make it a worthwhile change.

Never said it wouldn`t be, but we don`t know yet that he lost any power anywhere. That was supposition on the part of a poster. For all we know, he smoothed it out and didn`t lose a thing. I simply pointed out that it was possible to both lose a little at the lower end in the interest of smoothness and gain some at the top.

I'm currently testing the STG 1 tune. I pretty sure they still need to tweak it some more before release.

I'm testing stage 1 with 93 octane. I believe my last fill up was BP, but I usually use QT/Shell.

I already sent in my initial logs to Shiv, but need to do some follow-up runs after a couple more miles on the odometer. Hope that helps.

Not rearly.

Its possible the new E85 tunes will alter the cranking injector pulse width to inject more fuel to make cold weather starting easier on E85 without having to add some straight petrol to dilute the E%.

A couple of guys such as luckrider have already done this with success.

was actually a fair and relevant question :-)

I had massive issues with cold starting when I was running E85 in the winter and I had loads of help from TD-d and several others. I eventually got it cranking with 2-3 cranks at temperatures below 40 by playing with pulse widths but after my recent attempts of MAF scaling on the 1.5x maps I think the issue is more with the MAF temperature scaling more than injector pulse width. I can see a definite change in trims when the temperature is in the high 90's as opposed to the 60's and 70's. Personally I think if people properly scaled their MAF for their car and mods and someone came up with a modified MAF temp scale adjustment that was more accurate over stock these issues would be resolved for most people. For me it was just simpler to swap back to 93 as there is only one station near me that sales E85 and it wasn't exactly on my way to my typical destinations. I could just be the station I was filling up with had a bad fill of E85 or the percentage was to high for cold temps. I never tried adding a couple gallons of 93 to the tank, which might of fixed my issues.

Either way I won't be using E85 in the winter, it just wasn't worth it to me.
