I know. Even a lot of the companies that make them call them 'sway bars'. Urgh...

Well I've had good luck with TRD accessories on my Matrix so I don't see why I wouldn't run that again.
TRD Exhaust TRD Short Throw Shifter TRD Springs and maybe some other set of struts.. maybe. Just to start, I may get into some more "hardcore" type mods but considering this is going to be my first RWD daily, I think I'm going to go easy for a while. After I've settled into the FT/FR - 86/S, I'll consider working on full intake/headers/exhaust. Chances are the TRD exhaust will only be axle back, which I'm O.K. with for a mostly stock car, but when I've gotten comfortable and want to get a little more out of it then I'll do it all. Depending on how the cars brakes work out (the Civic SI has TERRIBLE brake fade early on) I may do new rotors / pads. Thats it for now... I don't need anything to crazy. |

Seeing that im new to the forums i dont know to much about this car yet. but When it comes out i will def. be upgrading the suspension and putting some wheels with a nice offset and a mild camber on them. From there who knows. really depends on the motor options it ends up being released with.

So you've been here before eh? Know my condition?
I drove my Matrix all year round once, without putting winters on it (I was poor after making the car purchase, wish I thought about the need for winter tires BEFORE winter happened lol) But yeah, I'll run the stock suspension for a while, and figure out my options a bit later, adjustable from stock to 1.5" lower would be a nice adjustable option, but we'll have to see whats out there. I did have the matrix 1.5" lower than stock, and it was ok for winter. Just needed to be extra cautions on some parking lots / driveways. It's basically the same caution as our summer driving lol, these roads are $#@!ed right up. |
