If you'd like your rings to seat properly you won't follow lawyer written procedures.

Allow the engine and fluids to warm completely and then drive it with some common sense but just because an engine has less than 1000 miles on it is no reason to not drive it in its full range. I would avoid just hanging out in the upper arm ranges for extended periods until after you get the original motor oil out of the car but beyond that drive the car.
"breaking in is all about" implies what breaking in is all about

being harsh on any cold engine pre/post break-in is stupid regardless

Do not put, or take words out of my mouth, as it were.

There is a difference between "break-in recommendations" concerning a discussion about what the manual recommends and "breaking in is all about" which I never stated.

Furthermore we don't disagree, so what is your issue? Do you enjoy purposefully misreading and misstating what people write and then attempting to impose your lack of comprehension on them? I'm sorry that reading, writing, and following a discussion logically aren't things you're very good at, but an internet car forum is, by and large, a poor place to practice these vital life skills.

I met a guy this am with a brand new 2014 FRS - Red. Beauteous!
He showed me the interior with the new knee pads and speaker surrounds and, yes, they had red stitching.

I am really jealous - they look great - I've got to get some for my brz when it arrives… hope to find a good scion parts source online for these - suggestions?

Why did we turn the OP's post into a thread about engine "break-ins?" Congrats OP, hope you're enjoying the car just like I am (:

Get JPM Coachworks interior pieces...better final product than OEM and in genuine Alcantara or leather....not too expensive either, cheaper than oem in most cases. Warning...you might just want to Alcantara everything after visiting their site!
