A few owners have taken delivery and the only change was AHA radio being added to the same head unit. No knee or door pads.

In Canada. In USA it's supposed to have kneepads. I haven't seen any USA deliveries mentioned. There's some dealer literature that says it's supposed to have kneepads in the US, though.

Interesting. Why they would delete the knee pads for Canada only is beyond my comprehension.

There is a 2014 release series at the dealership where I got mine. M/T. 25k or 26k I think is the sticker price. Its sitting on the showroom floor.

Knee pads? How close are yall sitting to the steering wheel. I have my seat all the way back and my knees barely touch anything. And I'm 6' 190lbs.

It's functional, but also a cosmetic piece that finishes the interior quite nicely. IMHO.

I sit based on arm length and my seat back pretty straight up and down and my right knee rests on the center console.

Traditionally when comparing Canada-spec to US-spec vehicles the answer to this question has been "because fuck you, that's why!"

Oh... well I don't condemn the addition to the piece. Just not something I personally would need. To each their own though.

I thought all the release series were 2013 models.

They could be. I just assumed since the 2014 Model cars come out around Fall qtr that the release series would be considered at 2014 model. I'm not sure what they consider it, you could be right. I know S/N 1064 is the one they have sitting on their show room floor.
