You don't need the 3" when you go FI. The resonated 3" catback on its own isn't overly loud from what I've heard but once you add a 3" front pipe and catless header its excessively loud. Stick with the 2.5" and you'll be much happier.

Nope not just you. I have full exhaust setup with JDL header, overpipe, catted front pipe and the 3" Perrin system. It was so loud with the Perrin exhaust i took it off and put the stock catback on. It sounded terrible

Yes... it would be to loud/raspy/sound terrible (subjective mind you)

Yeah guys, I'd recommend a catted front pipe with the 3" exhaust. I'd always say to get the 3" resonated unless you like your car loud!

Is the catted front pipe discontinued? I checked the site and I don't see it.

Yes, they don't make replacement cats anymore.

I'd recommend anything with a cat that's 3". Having the cat will help with keeping the sound down.
