I figured I would have to pass emissions this year, but I lost my letter, so who knew. Sunday I cleared enough space in the garage to pull my car in out of the rain, and started swapping out my exhaust. Let me tell you, the PLM/Nameless knock-off long tube header is no easy removal. Got the stock header and front pipe installed without any leaks, Yay! Removed my Phantom SC and reinstalled my OEM intake, complete with sound tube. Loaded my original tune file, and away I go. Today I went online to try and print something saying I needed emissions before I just show up there out-of-the-blue. The DOL emissions page says to just start tab renewal to find out if I need emissions, if I do it won't let me finish. So, I went all the way through, paid for new tabs and no emissions. I still can't believe I don't need testing, so I went to the licensing center to find out if they will give me my prepaid tabs without requesting an emissions test slip. Nope. All they asked for was my ID and registration. I just changed out my intake and exhaust for nothing!
In WA you don't have to get an emissions test any more for any model 2009 and newer. I've never needed one for my 09 Corolla or 10 Prius. I found out when having my daughters 08 Yaris tested. They told me that when I went through. I don't need to have my 89 Supercharged MR2 tested anymore since it's over 25 years old now!

Robftss. I help him manage PMs and all the posts that go on here and the owners thread. I have alot of experience with the system so I try and cut down on the duplicate queries that would go his way.

Did you move yourself down the list or have only a dozen or so shipped since 6/17? I thought production was about 5/month, trying to figure out the wait. I found a list where I am 38 down from you.

Rob and I are in Calgary and his shop is here as well. The install is easy enough that anyone can do it(and i mean ANYONE). The system in the winter is a interesting topic. Although you will get less boost(less power in the batteries because they are cold), the boost that you do get is at such a lower temperature it equals more power. This is two fold if you park in a warm garage or really bag on the car to try and get the batteries warm.

Now comes the issue of traction, you are going to have massive problems with traction in the winter with a supercharged FRS or brz. Running studded winter tires last year i could easily break the tires loose in 3rd or 4th gear(on cold pavement)....this makes merging into traffic interesting. On snow or ice, forget about it, you will not be able to use hardly any boost.

Now the second point, is it fun? Hell yes! It was the most fun i have had in any car. You just have to be aware of the power you have and that if you start boosting with traction control off you have to be ready to catch your car should it try and kill you .

I took this video last year before i put it away for winter, as you can see even though there was no snow on the ground the cold pavement was enough that my tires wanted to start letting go in 2nd gear closer to redline.

Why do all of your videos use KM/H ?.. It is kind of deceiving because it is hard to read what metric is being used. I was fooled at first thinking you were getting some crazy good acceleration

Haha, I gotcha. At first I was like.. NO WAYY at this thing's acceleration thinking it was mph. Still very impressive looking at the dyno charts on the front page. Especially compared to the cost listed.

From reading through some of this thread, it looks like there's a newer version that may be a little more expensive than original. What is the $$$ of the ones getting shipped out currently?

This might be a dumb question... But here we go:

did anyone try to use this as an auxiliary setup for a turbo/supercharger system?
