What size tires would make an optimal fit? I'm thinking of getting Dunlop DZ101 with sizes 225/45/18 front and 245/40/18 rear. Would this make a good fit and no impact to speedo/handling?

If I were to drop it by 1", would there by anything I need to change?

Thanks for the help.
If you want those tires, buy more narrow wheels. If you are dead set on those wheels, 245/35F and 275/35R

Will I run into any problems with a set of ENKEI RS7 17x7 +35 using the stock michelins? Wheels will be shipped with nuts and rings.

That should look perfect IMO , stock is 17x7.5 +48 so with that offset the wheels will be closer to flush , you will be happy

I would run 245/40 and 255/40 if you're going turbo, you will need the extra grip.

You'll be fine. You can even fit 255/40 if you have negative camber in front and back without any rubbing.

hey guys, i'm a soon to be owner of what im hoping to be either a white or red FR-S this week. I'm coming from a 7th gen Celica Gt-s currently with CCW Classics 17x8.5 +19 offset. Will the +19 offset require some work to fit on the FR-S? ANy suggestions on tires are appreciated as well. Right now i'm running 225/45/17 square on my celica.

thanks,
Chris

I don't think you'll get a +19 offset to work. I just received my 18x9 +35 wheels and they already stick out almost 1" past the fenders. I'll need some lowering and camber to bring that back into spec.

In your case, even with extra camber, not sure it'll fit.

Maybe someone withe experience with a +20 fitment can chime in.

Reposting from another thread as it is pretty relevant here:

I received my wheels and test-fitted them last night.
These are PhatFux Ballzy in 18x9 +35. No tires selected yet as I wanted to check fitment first.

I'm currently running stock suspension and alignment (stock looks to be close to 0 camber compressed), but these wheels stick out alot, about 1". It's obviously accentuated more since there's no tire on to give the full effect and it doesn't take into account suspension travel and arc.

I know a drop will pull it in a bit as well as some camber, but will it be enough?

I appreciate the input Slick! I was figuring it would be a tough fit after doing some reading on the board. If anything, new wheels wouldn't be the worse thing.

I'll still try them on just for the hell of it.

Hello all i have a thing here, i own a Work Emotion XC8, size 18 x 7.5 , et +42

I want to install it using Sard PCD Changer (from 100 to 114.3), which is 15mm width.

I am on stock suspension, no plan for a drop/any other suspension tunes (shocks, coilovers, etc)

Is it possible that it will never rub the front and rear fender even under full load ? Or maybe hitting a high speed bump, holes, etc.

Thank you for the answer

A 15mm spacer will effectively make it a +27 offset. It is going to be close but I think you should be inside the fender so slightly.

What size tire are you planning?
