It locked in at 28.0 volts as fully charged and would drop down to the mod 20's on boost. Recovered within a minute back to 28. This was the first time using the batteries.

Integrating the ESC Voltmeter into the Torque app.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this?

In a bid to integrate the ESC into the car interior I decided to see if I could get it to work with the Torque app. that I usually have displayed on my Pioneer double DIN headunit.

Has the advantage that it displays max. and min. values and you can also log these values which should help understand when the dump pack is starting to degrade.

Wow that's awesome. How did you integrate it?

The elm327 Bluetooth dongle that we use with the torque app to connect to the OBD2 port has a facility to measure and report the battery voltage measured at the adapter (as well as the one measured at the ecu), I just re-purposed it to measure the ESC voltage by connecting the input to the ESC voltmeter to the dongle and reconfiguring the circuit slightly as it wasn't originally designed to measure 30 volts.

Then I created a custom PID in the torque app with an appropriate scalar and voila one ESC display on your phone or tablet.

I use the appradio unchained reloaded to get the torque app displayed on my Pioneer headunit.

What we need now is for Shiv and his team to provide this facility using the PROceed ecu and to output the data with a custom PID onto the car's canbus, then we could get the same functionality that I have shown without having to modify the bluetooth dongle.

If you need any specific details, then just ask

I know I'm getting ahead of myself since I've been boosted for all of a day, but has anyone considered running two ESC kits in parallel, joined by a y-pipe? What if the first kicked in at 70% throttle and the second at 100%? Another benefit is the reduced restriction on the intake plumbing when not on boost. I recognize this would require two dump packs, etc.

I've been thinking about this for years. It would be a great idea imo. The problem is the rarity of the Phantom.

Just thought about it..
Is that why Rob calls it "The Phantom"?

Yes and it has been tested. I think the general consensus is the cost would not make sense for what this kit is meant to do. You'd be going into full time forced induction territory

A safety note for anyone converting wiring for RHD. Fire hazard fixed.

My car is RHD. I obtained a LHD ESC and extended the 12V power cables (12 gauge), by using 25A Anderson plugs. These are not good enough, they melted. Now I have installed a 50A Anderson Plug.

(I am not talking about the dump cables for the 24V system. Those cables are barely visible at the bottom left corner of one of the photos)

The system should be pulling around 160 amps. 4000W/24V = AMPS
