RWD driving is hard. go to a car control clinic.
Yup, learned the hard way lol but in my defense, I had developed some pretty bad habits from 2 years of driving a heavy, grippy, and underpowered BMW 325i that never lost traction no matter how hard I tried. But I agree, I definitely will be signing up for one of these clinics within the next couple months

Well said. It's all part of the experience. Sometimes they are just scars, really expensive scars.

Ask the Hoonigan boys if their cars are in good condition

Costs $100, and literally saves every driver that takes it many thousands of dollars in repair costs, insurance rate increases, etc.
This. 100% this.

As an added bonus, it's fun too. It lets you play around with the limits of your car, and figure out how to control the car at (and beyond) those limits in a safe environment, so if you start to lose control unexpectedly on the street, you will have a much better idea what to do. I think everyone should take one of these courses.

Wrong line into the corner my friend, your were off camber and hitting a dip (will unsettle the front end on the rebound = reduced front grip) filled with water and probably mud (lowers coefficient of friction further reducing grip).

However, please understand the puddle is not at fault, you are. No offense intended.

Good luck getting it all sorted out.

Stomping the brakes and then deciding to try breaking the ass end lose probably didn't help either. ETA: What was the posted speed limit on the ramp? OP, you should probably realize that YOU were responsible for what happened if you want to learn anything. ETA again: Why StopTech pads? Any post-install bedding recommendations in the install instructions?

That comes out to only $600 a year.

There had to be just a little of that pesky "velocity" involved with a side of momentum.
How about driving too fast?

Yeah, I know simple math. I never said I only pay 600 a year for insurance. I said I only had to pay an extra 50 on top of my initial insurance payment.

Don't forget to add your uncle was with you, since you are under 18.

ETA: Wait. You are under 18 and driving with no paperwork, your dad is paying, and it's insured by your uncle who is out of state. Rest of the story, please...
I'm in NY and because I took drivers education course I was legally allowed to drive on my own with full license at 17
