If I had to guess, likely 2.5.not sure if you can get 3" in unresonated form, at least not anymore.

Just installed mine yesterday and I love it. It's a bit loud for my tastes, but I have a catted front pipe to go in which should tone it down a bit

So is the resonated 3 inch very loud? I plan to FI later so thats why this pipe is a good option but I definetly don't want alot of noise.

You don't need the 3" when you go FI. The resonated 3" catback on its own isn't overly loud from what I've heard but once you add a 3" front pipe and catless header its excessively loud. Stick with the 2.5" and you'll be much happier.

How loud is it around 2-3k rpm's? I have a nameless 3" axleback, does anyone know how they compare?

It's really not that loud when getting on it, only thing that annoys me is the drone when coasting down in gear. On the gas, always sounds good

The nameless piece is louder. I used to have the same axleback.

So was it worth switching in your opinion? For me its just a little loud driving on the highway doing 70-80(which is my commute everyday).

If all you have is the axleback as far as exhaust mods, then you'll be fine. I can't really say if the 3 inch will be too loud for you though. You Might want to consider the 2.5" catback if you're sensitive to noise.
