Yep, sell it!

TBH, I really don't miss that at all now that I have a truck. I hated speedbumps with a passion when I had my lowered cars; especially those thin n tall ones. Now I try and speed up and see if I can launch over it with my truck!

Yeah, I agree! Unless you "winterize" it, it'll act more like a snow plow.

IMO rice is when you go for any look that sacrifices performance.

If he likes it great, I just will never understand it or want it for myself.
That's a pretty steep driveway.

I think you are over complicating things. Modifying a car, especially an import is a way of life to many; hence why they are called "car enthusiasts". It all trickled down from the drift scene and not everyone wants to drift their but they do want their car to replicate a drift car.

I guess you never been to the Bay Area! "Hella" and "Hecka" are to SF as "Dude" is to SoCal and "YO" is to NY.

one thing i am happy to do is retire my rx7 from street use. Like that S13 video posted, it was a pain to go anywhere in that car. It was too low, too stiff, and impractical. Now that im getting a BRZ, I can keep the Rx7 as a dedicated track toy, while still have fun with a sporty car on the street. And no way in hell am i going to mod my current daily 04 Subaru Legacy Wagon GT 5mt, i keep it stock because its a car i bought to serve my family and their safety..

Moral of the story....a car built for soly for HPDE is rice on the street. Aka try driving a JGTC GT500 Nissan GTR or a Forumla One to get groceries...you will hate your life.

This same principle goes for people who try to set up their street car to mimic racecars. There is a certain degree in which you should stop.

I don't judge the guy based on his car but he referred me to an awesome MR2 mechanic in the OC where I met other enthusiasts not into hellaflush... Armand and these guys have won countless show awards and feature spots in car magazines. Things they do to their cars are not always in my taste but their passion for meticulous customization and care for the community are what I respect.

Not sure anyone noticed the girl on his car is Evelyn Lin. I thought that was funny.

What VenomRush said. That is more poser than rice.

Rice to me is modifications done to a car that are completely hideous.

Stuff like lambo/suicide doors, bright color paint jobs, neon lights underneath, altezza tail lights, other car's headlights and tail lights molded on, fake hood scoops and fender vents, wild bodykits that dont flow with the car's lines, bodykits that are still primered yet mounted, full audio in the rear, knockoff wheels, blue halogen lights that are supposed to look like HIDs.

Oh ok. That's too extreme for me given that you can't even slide a credit card but I'm not going to talk sh*t b/c it ain't my car.

I don't even know who Evelyn is but that reminds me of Vivid and 935racing back in the days when they were into only cars. Then they eventually got in to porn by asking them to pose for the car shows and the rest is downhill.

Flush fitment is as impracticable as a 600hp street car with so much Turbo lag that you never hit boost on the street. Everything doesn't revolve around the performance of a car people.

^^lol stupid argument.

The guy in favor of functionality definitely has him beat on this argument. The other one is talking about shitty ways of achieving the hellaflush status. Cut springs, rotas etc. That is the lame way to do it. Having a hellaflush car on coilovers, links, Volks and have it done properly is much better and can still be a functional car-granted, not as much so as one setup in other peoples' methods

Just different types of styles and we all have different tastes. I prefer this style...just not the way this animation above portrays

This is semi-relevant, but entertaining nonetheless...
